Following Matthew’s death in November 2016 there will be ongoing additions to the website to update on exhibitions, report progress with archiving and include tributes and obituaries.
Obituaries have appeared in The Western Morning News, The Guardian and The Times and these can now be found here under ‘Reviews 2016’ along with selected tributes.
A selection of Matthew’s larger work will be shown at the West Cork Arts Centre, Uillinn, Skibbereen, from June 2nd to July 8th in’ West meets West’, featuring three artists from Cornwall. The exhibition will then move to Cornwall later in 2017 at a date to be confirmed.

For many years Matthew has donated a picture to the famous annual ‘Spot the Artist’ Rotary club fundraising event in St Ives; many thanks for this email Matthew received last year:
‘‘18/9/16 Dear Matthew
I would really like to thank you for donating your great picture to the St Ives Rotary Spot the Artist event. My wife and I started queuing at 7.45am on Saturday morning to make sure we would be first in line to enable us to buy your picture! After 26 hours including sleeping out on the pavement over Saturday night we were lucky! I guess this might be some sort of record. We are now very tired but very pleased. Soon we will have it framed and displayed on our house wall in St Ives where we live. Again many thanks for your generous donation.
